A LITTLE ABOUT US

MISSION
To develop within children a passion for the glory of God through the use of a Biblical curriculum and by providing an atmosphere of Christian love.

The staff and administration of First Baptist Kindergarten/Daycare believes that each child should be encouraged to reach his/her individual potential.  We strive to facilitate the development of this potential through increasing emotional security, encouraging social adjustment, enhancing cognitive development, promoting physical growth and, most of all, supporting spiritual awareness in each child through the use of a Bible-based curriculum and a well-trained staff.

OBJECTIVES:
1.  To create a Christian environment so that the child will be introduced to God’s love and his/her need for Christ.

2.  To provide a Christian interpretation of life so a child will learn Christian principles and values.

3.  To endeavor to assist families in meeting each child’s needs.

4.  To accept each child for his/her own value and worth as one created in the image
of God and assist him/her in developing self-reliance and confidence.

5.  To provide wholesome and healthful activities in a group setting to promote social
adjustment, sharing, cooperation, tolerance and a positive attitude toward others.

6.  To create in each child openness and readiness to learn as well as a desire to develop initiative thereby helping each child realize his/her own potential.

7.  To teach the child responsibility for his/her own behavior and to learn from his/her mistakes.

8.  To help each child learn from others.

9. To teach the child the importance of his/her own family and to show him/her God’s plan for his/her family.

10.  To reinforce the family’s own care by:
a.Giving the love, care, affection and attention.
b.Helping the parent shoulder their responsibility for the child’s needs.
c.Establishing a stable, safe, loving school environment.
d.Striving to lead the family toward a meaningful church relationship.

11.  To create a favorable relationship between our church and the community.
