As we kick off a new week, I want to take you back to something Jesus said in His Sermon on the Mount. In Matthew 6:2-19, Jesus spoke of three key areas or disciplines that are key to following Him. They are not imperatives…not commands…but Jesus assumed we would do these three things.
So, if Jesus assumed that we would give, pray, and fast I think it would be appropriate for me to ask you three questions.
If for some reason the answer is no to any of the three questions, I would encourage you to go back to the text and read it and then let me ask you three more questions:
We will take about this for the rest of the week but make all three disciplines a part of your Spiritual Walk.
“When you give…” (2)
“When you pray…” (5)
“When you fast…” (16)
Do you give?
Do you pray?
Do you fast?
