Good Friday Prayer
Earlier this week I said, our lives are the byproduct of our lifestyles. I find it amazing that Jesus starts His ministry in prayer, He spends the last night of His life on earth in the Garden praying, and while hanging on the cross we find Him praying, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”
Jesus prayed in the midst of earthly ministry success, He prayed seeking wisdom, and He prayed in the most difficult of times. Even now, in Romans 8:34, He is interceding for us. We are simply never more like Jesus than when we pray.
On the cross we find Jesus quoting/praying Psalm 22:1, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” I am convinced He was meditating on the entire Psalm.
On this Good Friday, look at Psalm 22, think of all that Jesus did for you so you could pray, and spend time thanking Him for His love displayed!
