We will be working through the North American Mission Board and with Family Heritage Foundation.

Connect with Family Heritage Foundation on FaceBook.

Cost

The cost is $145 plus some of your meals. You will need to have a $0 balance due by Sunday, June 21.  Feel free to make payments along the way if you'd like. See Mark about making electronic payments through the Petros PayPal account.

Medical Forms

We will need a medical form on each participant. If you went to Submerge, we have one for you.

What will we be doing?

Plans are still coming together. As of right now, we will have a sports ministry where play with the children and then share a devotional. We will also be collecting rice and beans to distribute. We are also looking into a block party. The refugee complex we will be ministering in has up to 3000 residents.

Where will we be lodging?

We will be lodging at Stone Mountain State Park which is about 3 miles from our ministry point. We will be lodging in their yurts. We will post lodging assignments as we get closer to departure. The yurts will be air conditioned. They have electrical outlets, large windows, sky lights, lockable doors, and WIFI. Outside they have picnic tables, charcoal grills, fire pit, and a water spigot. They do not have bathrooms/showers. There is shower house nearby.

What do we need to bring?

We will be in a camping setting so think accordingly. This list will be updated as we get closer to our trip departure.

Here is a Campground Map. The yurt are right below where it says Dekalb County. We have reserved YF01, Y4, Y5, Y6, Y8, Y10, Y11, Y13, Y14. We will post the rooming assignments as we get closer to the trip departure.

-- One adventurous and flexible attitude

-- A sleeping bag. The yurts have a combination of futons, queen beds, and bunk beds.

-- Pillow, towel, washcloths

-- Showering supplies. Make sure you have a good way to get your showering needs to the shower house.

-- Flip flops work great for traveling to the shower house.

-- Breakfast. You will be on your own for breakfast. So bring breakfast bars, pop-tarts, and non-cookable breakfast items.

--Water or beverage bottles

-- Money for several fast food meals. We'll update how many meals you will need to be responsible for when we finish drafting our ministry plan. You'll need money for travel meals and fueling snacks. The campground does have a General Store.

-- Flashlight or headlamp

-- Bug Spray

-- Swim suit for the pool and lake.

-- Bag chair if you would like to sit around outside.

-- More to come...
