• Events and Gatherings

    *Adult Christmas Choir Rehearsals- It is not too late to be a part of this year's Christmas program. If you are interested in singing in the choir for this performance please come on out to our upcoming rehearsals: November 13, November 26, December 4, Dress Rehearsal on December 14 and performance is on December 16. All rehearsals are at 6:30 in the Sanctuary. 

    *Our Food Box Giveaway is set for Saturday, November 17, from 2-4 pm. We will be giving away 200 boxes of food to needy families in our community. Your participation is needed to help us spread the love of Jesus to our community. There will be opportunities to pray with people, direct traffic, load boxes or just give a smile and a word of encouragement to these families.

    * Community Thanksgiving Service will be on Sunday, November 18 at 6 pm here , at First Baptist Church. This is a great time for the community to gather together under one roof to celebrate everything that God has done over the past year. Bring your family and join us for this great time of Thanksgiving.

    29th Hour Prayer Service: Join us on November 28-November 30 from 12:29-1:29 pm for an hour of prayer for our families, community, and church.

    *Women's Christmas Dinner is set for Friday, November 30 at 6 pm. This is a wonderful time for the women of FBC to gather together over a great meal and fellowship. We will also have local vendors and entrepreneurs set up so you can do a little shopping. A portion of these sales will go towards the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Doors will open at 5 pm and tickets are $10 each. All ticket proceeds will go towards our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering goal. Tickets go on sale on November 4 and will be sold after each service and through the church office.

    * IRONMEN Breakfast: Our next IRONMEN Breakfast will be December 2 in Petros at 8 am. If you are interested in attending, please call the church office at (205) 338-9444 to sign up!



    With everything that goes on in our every day lives. sometimes it is difficult to keep up with what is going on next. Well, that doesn't have to happen here at FBC. You can get important information right in the palm of your hand!

  • Serving opportunities

    • The Good Neighbor Committee provides a meal for the family when a member passes away. The meal is on the day of the funeral; either before or following the service. If you are willing to provide vegetables, salads, and/or desserts on occasion for this ministry, please contact Julia Skelton at (205) 913-1762.
