Discipleship University (DU) is designed to offer adults the opportunity to grow deeper in their faith and knowledge of God and His Word while preparing for service in the Kingdom of God. Our Winter mini term runs for 8 weeks and our Spring and Fall terms run for 12 weeks. Take a look below at what we are offering for our Fall term!

  • The Gospel of Mark/ Facilitated by A.L. Courtney: Join Dr. Sproul on a unique study tour as he explores the major themes, events, and people that are brought to life in the Bible. This DVD study provides a panorama of biblical truth and a starting point to help you understand the content of the Bible. Dust to Glory can energize your study of the Bible, provide you with new insights, and improve your ability to read understand, and apply scripture to your life. Join us at 6:30 pm on Wednesday nights. (This will be an on-going study for the next few semesters. This class has no book cost. Bring your Bible)
  • God Owns It All by Ron Blue/Facilitated by Jonathan Murphy: This study tackles the money quest we all ask: How much is enough?" The answer to this question is found in God's Word. With over four decades of experience in the financial-services industry, Ron Blue presents financial principles that are affirmed by the authority of Scripture and tested by the marketplace. He knows that God's principles work and are needed in our finances. These biblical based principles will equip us to approach money management and financial planning with freedom, generosity, contentment, and confidence.   • The Bruised Reed by Richard Sibbes/ Facilitated by Dale Owens: In the arrogance of his own imagination, man is a great and mighty tree. The man who considers himself as God considers him undergoes a bruising. Puritan theologian Richard Sibbes uncovers what it means to be a bruised reed in this 17th century text, a passionate expression of Christian faith.   • Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit by Beth Moore:/Facilitated by Kim Thweatt: Through this all ladies study, participants will look at the supernatural aspects of the fruit and that you cannot grow,learn or produce the fruit on your own. Beth challenges you to develop the fruit by maintaining an intimate relationship with the Spirit of God. A Spirit-filled life truly results in living beyond yourself. Ladies, join us at 5:30 pm on Wednesday nights for this study. (Book cost: $16.00)
  • Keep It Shut: What to Say, How to Say It, and When to Say Nothing at All by Karen Ehman/Facilitated by Chris Gold: From Bible times to present day women have struggled with their words. What to say and how to say it. What not say. When it is best to be silent. What to do when you have something you wished you could take back. Beyond just a "how not to gossip" book, this book explores what the Bible says about the many ways we are to use our words and the times when we are to remain silent. We will cover our speech to interact with friends, co-workers, family and strangers as well as in the many places we use our words in private, in public, online and in prayer. Even the words we say silently to ourselves. We will address unsolicited opinion-slinging, speaking the truth in love and not saying words to people please as well as dealing with verbal anger. Join us in this all women's study at 6:30 pm on Wednesday nights as we learn to control our tongue. (Book cost: $13.00)
