Discipleship University (DU) is designed to offer adults the opportunity to grow deeper in their faith and knowledge of God and His Word while preparing for service in the Kingdom of God. Our Winter mini term runs for 8 weeks and our Spring and Fall terms run for 12 weeks. Take a look below at what we are offering for our Winter mini term!

  • The Gospel of Mark/Facilitated by A.L. Courtney:  The gospel of Mark paints an important portrait of Jesus as Israel's promised Messiah.  Mark's account also makes clear how Jesus' kingship confounds public expectations by emphasizing his humility, suffering, and sacrifice. Join us at 6:30 pm on Wednesday nights. (No book cost. Bring your Bible)
  • Dust to Glory/ Facilitated by Tim Gold: Join Dr. Sproul on a unique study tour as he explores the major themes, events, and people that are brought to life in the Bible. This DVD study provides a panorama of biblical truth and a starting point to help you understand the content of the Bible. Dust to Glory can energize your study of the Bible, provide you with new insights, and improve your ability to read understand, and apply scripture to your life. Join us at 6:30 pm on Wednesday nights. (This will be an on-going study for the next few semesters. This class has no book cost. Bring your Bible)
  • Jesus Among Secular Gods by Ravi Zacgarias and Vince Vitale/Facilitated by Dana Merrymon: As belief in the secular gods of atheism, hedonism, relativism and humanism continues to grow, it is more important than ever for believers to be able to defend and share the claims of Christ. Of course, this clash of worldviews is nothing new. This six session Bible study challenges the popular and trending philosophies of the day, skillfully pointing out the fallacies in their claims and presenting compelling evidence for absolute truth as found in Jesus and revealed in Scripture. This study helps those who are seeking explore the claims of Christ and provides Christians with the knowledge to articulate their faith that Jesus stands tall above all other gods. This study is for men and women and will be at 6:30 pm. (Book Cost: $9.00)
  • Discerning the Voice of God by Priscilla Shirer/ Facilitated by Joanna Darden: Through 7 sessions, discover the root to clear and daily communication with God-humble obedience. Learn how surrender unlocks His many blessings intended for us, centers us in His will, and helps us discern His voice in everyday life. This study is for women and will meet at 6:30 pm on Wednesday evenings. (Book Cost: $13.00.)
  • Dance, Stand, Run by Jess Connolly/ Facilitated by Patsy Lee: This study is an invitation to the daughters of God to step into the movements of abundant life: dancing in grace, standing firm in holiness, and running on mission. Through story and study, Connolly casts a fresh vision for how to live into your identity as a holy daughter of God, how to break free of cheap grace and empty rule-keeping, and finally, how to live out your holy influence with confidence before a watching world. This study is for women and they will meet on Wednesdays at 5:30 pm starting March 21. (Book Cost: $8.00)
  • Living Beyond Yourself by Beth Moore/ Facilitated by Kim Thweatt: In this study Beth walks participants through each trait listed in the Fruit of the Spirit and encourages women to know the freedom of a Spirit-filled life. Through this study you will look at the supernatural aspects of the fruit and learn that you cannot grow, learn, or produce the fruit on your own. You will be challenged to develop the fruit by maintaining an intimate relationship with the Spirit of God. A Spirit filled life truly results in living beyond yourself. This study is for women and they will meet on Wednesday evenings from 5-6:20 pm. This study is also available on Tuesday mornings at 8 am starting on March 20. (Book Cost:$16.00.)
